Stitching By Hand
Hemming Stitch - hemming your curtains must be done by hand. Hems should be invisible to view from the right
side of the curtain fabric. Do not machine stitch your hems. It may take half the time, but it looks
truely horrible.Here is the best hemming stitch to use at the bottom of your curtains:-
Slip Stitch - a slip stitch is a used when you want to attach two seam together invisibly. For example
when closing the top edge of a tieback after inserting buckram, or when you want to finish attaching
lining to main fabric at the base of your curtain. Here is the best slip stitch technique to use:-
Blanket Stitch - a blanket stitch is used to attach to pieces of fabric, such as bump interling
that are too bulky to attach with a traditional straight seam stitch. This is the best blanket stitch technique
