Roman Blinds

Roman blinds simply look great. Sleek,elegant and highly functional, roman blinds have become the window treatment to have. Whether used alone, or behind full length curtains, roman blinds create a look of wonderful simplicity.

Roman blinds lie flat across the width of your window. Therefore much less fabric quantity is required than for other types of window treatments. The heading is fixed onto a wooden batten, and mounted inside the window recess. A cord system mounted at regular intervals across the back of the blind is used to drawn up the blind into clean horizontal layers. When closed, the blind is flat and covers just the window area.

Roman blinds look wonderful when made up using heavier fabric, and in particular geometric or striped designs can accentuate the clean lines of the blind. If using plain fabric, find a color which has an interesting texture or look for linen or heavy silk materials.
