How to install a Roman blind
So you have finished sewing your roman blind, and are now ready to install it at
your window.Here's how:
Measure and cut the correct number of lengths of cord required, according to the
number of strips of looped blind tape across the back of the fabric.
Attach each length of cord firmly with a knot to the bottom loop of each strip of
blind tape.
Thread the cord up through each loop to the top of the blind.
Screw L-shaped wall brackets to your top battan. Check the position so that the
brackets will then be able to be fixed to your window frame.
Screw eyes to the underside of the batten, lining each eye up with each
cord position on your blind.
Thread each cord through it's corresponding eye, then across through each of the other
eyes to your chosen side edge.
This will be the edge where you pull the cords to raise and lower the blind.
Knot the cords together and trim the ends to an appropriate length.
Mount the blind against your window frame screwing the L-brackets firmly in
place.
